  When we attempted to check into the motel, we were greeted by staff who seemed to want to be anywhere other than at the desk. I requested adjoining rooms and was told "I haven't done that yet, but I will." While our rooms were on the same floor, they were down the hallway from each-other.

  Just did a 3 night 2 day ice fishing package and really enjoyed it. All of the staff we encountered were very helpful and personable. Had dinner and drinks at the resort, very good and reasonably priced. Overall great experience!!

  While this sounds negative, the area was great. The staff at the Resort(Launch) were also great. We opted to drive ourselves to the fish house. After fishing our first day, we had one fish to keep.our "guide" that day, Mike, even added a few extra fillets to our bounty so that we could enjoy a walleye appetizer between us. On day 2, we were experiencing slow fishing, our "guide" that day told us he would move us to another/hotter fish house. He never returned that day.

  We stayed in a sleeper shack for the weekend. It was a good fishing experience. The guides checked in every few hours. They gave advice and cleaned our fish for us. I would recommend River Bend' s to anyone seeking a quality ice fishing trip to lake of the woods.

  The biggest issue I had with this stay was the rate were quoted was one amount, and the final bill was inflated A LOT. It was after some almost heated discussion that the rate was reconciled. But that experience was enough for everyone in our party to plan on a different destination next year when we return to Lake of the Woods.

  We wanted to book a "sleep-in" Ice house, but there were none available so we opted for the motel stay and rental of a day house package. The package was suppose to include lunch delivered each day, it was not delivered.

  Half a mile from other resorts. Couldn't catch a limit. Promised to move us but never came back to get us. Ran out of bait. House was a disaster and we had to clean up before setting up to fish. Bathroom on sleeper wouldn't fit anyone over 5'3". Go to an established resort don't try new.
