Decent service at the bar and restaurant. The cabins are rustic. We were placed in a cabin with a broken window. There was a piece of cardboard stuffed in the empty cavity. It got cold at night. I wish they could have knocked a little off the price. Great launch area, puts you right into the lake. They maintain an excellent ice road during winter.

Customer service is king. Except here. The 2 guys out running around in the plow trucks get 5 stars they were awesome. As for the rest....well, that's why I'm here. I've never reviewed a business on the internet but felt this was necessary. It starts when I show up. I walk in the front door and into the lodge/bar to check in and get a key. This is clearly a gigantic inconvenience for the woman working there. After clarifying that I had a reservation and that I had already paid for a road pass (which even if you're staying with them you have to pay an additional $10) I received a key. (Under her breath she guessed it was ok that we checked in early, however we fully intended on fishing in our portables until the cabin was ready) When I asked where the cabin was located the lady pointed out the window and said, "that one down there." (There were a few buildings between us and the cabin, none of which looked like a cabin). I've been to several LOW resorts and customarily someone will offer up a map of the cabins or the ice road and perhaps a tip on fishing depth....that didn't happen. "Our road goes straight out....good luck." We get settled in the cabin and head out to fish. Cabin is nothing special but the price is right. We spend some money in the bar for dinner and cocktails. Thursday morning is the beginning of the end. Air temp is -35, my truck doesn't have a block heater and it's froze stiff. The 2 fellas in the plow truck roll by and spend a half hour running around looking for cables to give me a jump. I'll admit...I'm an idiot. No heater and I didn't start it at some point during the night which was a big mistake on my part. Maybe my thinking is off, but if I were the owner I would have offered up one of my 3 heated garages immediately and give my customers a ride out on the lake to go fishing. That's the exact opposite of how my experience went. I know you don't make money by being a charity but I was pretty annoyed with the whole experience...especially given this a customer service driven business. Eventually I was allowed to put my truck in the shop after 6 hours of screwing around and then made it to the lake. It sounds to me like anywhere you go you either love it or hate it. If my odds are 50/50 going somewhere else and perhaps getting service I'd expect vs what I got here I'll take my chances. If you're looking for a warm bed and a good ice access this spot would do wonderfully...just hope you don't need anything during your stay.

The rude lady that everyone else mentions in the reviews is just as bad as they say. She also told us no maps but the road just goes straight. The cabin was spacious but rustic. Everything seemed fine until it started getting windy and blowing snow around outside. The door to the outside wasn’t sealed and we woke up with a pile of snow inside the door. The draft all night was horrible and we couldn’t get the place to stay warm. They did have a decent kitchen setup with all needed things. Probably not going back.

The service of the Bar and Restaurant is why I am writing a review. We went in Saturday evening to get our daily catch cooked up. The cook did great, salad bar was good too. The wait staff was super busy and didn’t have time to serve us. Checked on us once and brought our bill. We went in for breakfast Sunday morning before hitting the road also. We sat at our table for 25 min with no water, coffee or anything but menus. I never walkout as we are patient people she waited on another table, served people at the bar, went to the bathroom and still never came to take a drink order.

They need more help in the Restaurant. So people come back to the resort. We will be back to Lake of the Woods next year as we are every year but we won’t be back to Morris Point.

We stayed in the cabins and rented a fish house for the weekend. The fishing was good and the guys who check on you throughout the day were great! They were super friendly and knowledgeable. It was a great fishing experience. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ 5 stars for the fishing.

Extremely rude people here. We had a group of 20+ and showed up 10 mins to 7:00am, which is 10mins before they open. We did get serviced and I thanked the owner for opening early. His response was, "I didn't have much choice did I"? We also asked a gal behind the bar, who had the weather on, if a snow storm was likely today. Her response was, "You can see the TV can't you"? If you need bait, tackle, or beer don't give them the business, go to the Log Cabin by Wheelers Point.
